Not quite yet...

I know my last post was all about getting back into the swing of things, but it's a little hard to do when there's a three-day weekend already.

And while I should probably get started on some homework, I'm going to put it off a little longer. See I've a had great weekend so far full of stupid funny movies (Eurotrip and The Other Guys), Packers football (Go Pack Go!), late night sledding (Brrr!), sleeping in (sort of), and spending time with some great friends, and there's still a whole day left. I'm not quite ready to do school-related anything.

Some friends rented a cabin for the weekend and it was great to get out of Lincoln, even just for a night. Definitely an awesome way to spend some time off. I spent the weekend with, among a few other people, my boyfriend, an avid Packers fan, and a kid from Wisconsin. I like the Packers and they had a pretty fantastic game, but let's just say we all heard A LOT about it. Even when we all finally called it a night and went to bed, the two of them kept going on about Green Bay's 48-21 domination of the Atlanta Falcons. It was actually pretty hilarious. They were like girls at a slumber party, except they were two 20-something guys laying in bunk beds talking about football.

Even better was that we woke up at 8:30 and watched Tom & Jerry (I love Tom & Jerry, no joke), followed by Sports Center for more Packers highlights and then pancakes.

How am I supposed to handle homework after all that?

SPRING BREAK!

As much as I love college, spring break is the greatest thing ever. It's 50 degrees, sunny, and I don't have to wake up early to go to class.

And I've decided that spring break is meant to be epic, even if you don't go anywhere fun and exciting and far away. And so far, this has been a pretty epic break full of friends and french toast and free pie and Disney movies and Laser Quest and randomness and job interviews and wonderful things like that. And it's only Wednesday =)

And even though I'm not going anywhere super far away, spring break is also meant for road trips. Hence, Kansas City on Friday for three days of awesome adventures!

Then back to Lincoln on Sunday and class on Monday...:sigh:

Hmmm...

Ok so I haven't updated this in forever. Life's been crazy.

We have finals in two weeks, and since next week is dead week, EVERYTHING is due this week. Seriously. EVERYTHING.

I've been going nuts.

I also ordered my books for next semester...it's gonna be at least $400. Ugh.

On a brighter note, I found out that my last final is on Tuesday of finals week, so that means I'm on break from December 15 to January 11. I love college =)

Except I'm probably not going to have anything to do for like a month. I should really get a job.

Tip of the Day: Don't turn in first drafts of important papers. Yeah, I BS papers the night before they're due and it usually turns out ok. I found out that the first draft of my English paper would've been "on the line between a D and a C." Revision is a good idea.

Is it Friday yet?

You know how when something important is coming up, the days....just....drag....on...sooo....sloowwwlyyyy...

This has been the longest week ever, and it's only Monday. It's a bit depressing, actually. I don't know if I can make it two more weeks until Thanksgiving break...and then two more weeks until finals....and then Christmas break!

It will be amazing.

And I'm having a really hard time realizing that it's November already and that there really are only two weeks left until break, mainly because it's 60 degrees outside. What the heck, Nebraska???

Not that I'm complaining. It's beautiful out =)

Highlight of the Week: Huskers>Sooners. Enough said.
